One year after the First Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children, ARISE provided the platform for Africa to take stock, set its own priorities, and accelerate the commitments made in Bogotá through a distinctly African lens.
Convened by UNICEF Eastern and Southern African Regional (ESARO) and West Central African Regional (WCAR) Offices, WHO Regional Office for Africa (AFRO) and the African Child Policy Forum ACPF), ARISE brought together 32 African governments, regional bodies, civil society, survivor-led groups, UN agencies, philanthropies and technical partners. It culminated in the ARISE Africa Outcome Document, the roadmap that will guide Africa’s shared path toward the 2026 Ministerial Conference in Manila.
Break the Record is a global campaign, created in collaboration with Together for Girls, to end violence against children by transforming pledges into action. It tracks how governments are delivering on the commitments made at the 2024 Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children, shining a light on progress and accountability worldwide.

The ISPCAN Rise Up Policy Forum is global initiative and platform to catalyse progress and facilitate collaboration among governments, policymakers, researchers, and practitioners aiming to transform child protection systems through a public health approach. The forum seeks to build a global learning community that integrates research, practice, and policy-driven solutions, enabling cross-country sharing of effective strategies. Key objectives include enhancing data collection and accountability, maximizing resource utilization, and fostering intersectoral collaboration to improve outcomes for children and families worldwide.
