One year after the First Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children, ARISE provided the platform for Africa to take stock, set its own priorities, and accelerate the commitments made in Bogotá through a distinctly African lens.

Convened by UNICEF Eastern and Southern African Regional (ESARO) and West Central African Regional (WCAR) Offices, WHO Regional Office for Africa (AFRO) and the African Child Policy Forum ACPF), ARISE brought together 32 African governments, regional bodies, civil society, survivor-led groups, UN agencies, philanthropies and technical partners. It culminated in the ARISE Africa Outcome Document, the roadmap that will guide Africa’s shared path toward the 2026 Ministerial Conference in Manila.
